The First Pack Gave Me a Cino EX
Cracked the very first pack and pulled a Cino EX. Pretty cool. Set it to the side and kept going. That’s the whole appeal of the mon TCG Chaos Rising box for me. What’s In the Box

Every Pull That Hit
The EX cards kept coming. After that first Cino EX I hit a Mega Dragali. Very nice. Then another Cino EX, a Gorggeist EX, an Omega Greninja, a Beedrill EX, a Cob Coalian EX, and to close it out a Mega Flow EX. Let’s go. That’s a run of solid hits from one box.
Some of my favorites weren’t even the EX cards. The Xernius came out and it’s a nice card right there. The Tauros made me say very nice card three times in a row. There was also a Mega Grand Ninja and a Pharaohs that landed nicely. Between those and the EX pulls, this box carried its weight.
And then there’s the reality of every box. Plenty of packs were no dice. Magnetic Energy, Nitro Energy, Bubbly Energy, a lot of energy cards on some of these. Ho-oh, Mareep, Vulpix that went nowhere. That’s part of the deal. You rip fast, you toss the fillers, and you chase the hits.
The God Pack Never Showed
I was hunting the gold Greninja SIR the whole time and never pulled it. That’s the catch with any sealed box. The chase card you actually want isn’t guaranteed, even across 36 packs. I kept saying I was looking for that god pack, looking for a god pack, and it just didn’t come this run.
So if you’re buying a box hoping to nail one specific SIR, know that going in. A box gives you strong odds and a lot of EX cards, but the gold chase card is still a gamble. If you need that exact card guaranteed, singles are the safer play. The box is for the hunt, not the sure thing.

Who Should Grab a Box
My box landed seven different EX cards in a single sitting, Cino EX twice, Mega Dragali, Gorggeist EX, Omega Greninja, Beedrill EX, Cob Coalian EX, and Mega Flow EX. If that’s the kind of pull session you’re after, a Chaos Rising box delivers it. The per-pack cost also beats loose packs and blisters, so you’re not paying a premium for the volume.

But singles win in one place. If you’re only after the gold Greninja SIR, a single guarantees you get it. I opened all 36 packs and never saw it. So the trade is this: the box gives you more cards, more surprises, and better value per card, while singles give you the exact card with zero gamble. Different buyers, different pick.
Tips Before You Rip
Slow down more than I did. I went super fast for the video, but at home take your time so you don’t miss a hit sliding out with the energy cards. Have a spot ready to sort your EX cards to the side as you pull, and keep some sleeves handy for anything you want to protect right away.
Don’t buy a box expecting one exact card. Buy it for the run of pulls. If a specific SIR is the only thing you want, save yourself the letdown and grab that single instead. Chaos Rising has some pretty nice cards in here, so grab a box or two if the hunt is what you’re after.
